RFID Reader/Writer Expansion Module

The RFID expansion module for the Safari™features a 13.56MHz contactless r/w module that iscompatible with a wide variety of tags that are compliant with the ISO 15693 standard.

The RFID expansion module fastens to the back of the Safari hand held computer via 4 mounting screws (included). An expansion module connector located on the back of the Safari pro-vides the power and is the communications interface to the device.

A comprehensive Programmer’s manual is sup-plied, allowing the RFID capability to be integrated seamlessly into your application.

GPS Expansion Module

The GPS expansion module for the Safari employs the SiRF Star III high performance GPS Chip Set providing solid, trouble free GPS performance.

It features very high tracking sensitivity ( -159 dBm),and extremely fast TIFF (Time To First Fix) at low signal levels.

The GPS receiver can deliver its data in NMEA 0183 format, or in the SiRF binary protocol.
